Shahid Kapoor Hindi: शाहिद कपूर;born on 25 February 1981 is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films. He is also a trained dancer.
Starting off his career by working in music videos and advertisements, Kapoor made his Bollywood debut as a background dancer in Subhash Ghai's Taal 1999. Four years later, he made his debut as a lead in Ishq Vishk 003 and won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance. Following through with acclaimed performances in films like Fida 2004 and Shikhar 2005, he had his first commercial success with Sooraj R. Barjatya's Vivah 20 and followed it up with Jab We Met 2007 and Kaminey 2009 which are also his biggest commercial successes so far.

Career
Early career, until 2005
Before starting off his career as an actor, Kapoor worked in several music videos and ads, including the Pepsi commercial with Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji post Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 1998and the music video Aankhon Me Tera Hi Chehra by the Aryans along with Hrishitaa Bhatt. While doing so, he decided to join the Shiamak Davar Institute for the Performing Arts SDIPA where he was later seen in Subhash Ghai's film Taal 1999as a background dancer in the song Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jawe along with actress Aishwarya Rai and in Dil To Pagal Hai 1997 of Yash Raj banner with actress Karisma Kapoor.
n 2003, Kapoor played his first leading role as Rajiv Mathur, a carefree young man in Ken Ghosh's moderately successful love story Ishq Vishk. Appearing opposite Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala, the film was well received by audiences and Kapoor's performance earned him a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. Film critic Taran Adarsh from indiaFM wrote, "Shahid Kapoor is an actor to watch. He has all the qualities to hit the top slot. Not only is he good looking, but he is an amazing performer as well. Very original as a performer , the youngster has handled the dramatic and emotional moments with flourish. He is an exceptional dancer as well. All he needs to do is pick and choose his forthcoming assignments with care, so that the journey to the top slot is minus hiccups."

Film career
His debut movie - Moksha was released in 2001 and was directed by Ashok Mehta. However, this film was released after his second film, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, in which he appeared with Sunil Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani. Although both films did not perform well at the box office, his performances in both films were lauded by critics. In 2002, he won the Award from the International Indian Film Academy for Face of the Year.
Since his debut, he has worked steadily in films such as Aankhen 2002, which was successful. But his films like Dil Hai Tumhaara 2002, Yakeen 2005and Ek Ajnabee 2005, did not succeed commercially.
He has also appeared in the Temptations 2004 concert with stars Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, and Priyanka Chopra.
In 2006 he made an extended appearance in the multi-starrer Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and played a supporting role in Don - The Chase Begins Again, a remake of the 1978 Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don. Rampal donned the role of Jasjit who was played by Pran in the original version. And this film, like the original version turned out to be a huge hit.
He then decided to produce as well as act in the film I See You which released on 29 December 2006. Arjun produced it with his own production company, Chasing Ganesha Films. His wife, Mehr Jesia, was the co-producer. The film starred Rampal, Vipasha Agarwal, Sonali Kulkarni and Boman Irani. Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan made cameos in the film. I See You was shot entirely in London. The film received poor reviews and was a failure at the box office. He, however, received positive reviews for his villainous role in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om 2007, which became one of the biggest hits in the history of Bollywood. And his biggest hit till date. He also won several awards for the film.

Shruti Haasan indian actress singer

Shruti Haasan Tamilis an Indian actress, singer and music composer who has worked in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. Her parents are noted actors, Kamal Haasan and Sarika As a child artiste, she sang in films and appeared in a guest role, before making her adult acting debut in the 2009 action drama, Luck. She has won acclaim for her role in the Walt Disney fantasy film, Anaganaga O Dheerudu. She is currently filming for several projects including A. R. Murugadoss's 7aam Arivu alongside Suriya.
She has also continued her stint in music through work as a singer in regional Indian languages, a career in music direction beginning with her father's production Unnaipol Oruvan and her own music band and album.
